Today we welcomed Minister of State (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) MP Andrew Stephenson to our flying club. Mr Stephenson came to listen to our concerns regarding the new legislation that is due to come in later this year....and to get a better understanding of our hobby, He also took the opportunity to fly the clubs electric wot 4 trainer under the guidance of our Chairman and Instructor Neil McGowan.
Andrew was rather nervous but thoroughly enjoyed it. He is now in a position to give feedback to the relevant people in Parliament as to what our concerns are re the future of our activities, hopefully this will have a positive outcome for BMFA clubs in Britain
Burnley and Pendle Aero Modellers, have been recognized as one of the best social clubs in Burnley Lancashire.
The Burnley club that has grassroots going all the way back to 1948 has got to be one of the oldest Rc flying clubs in the UK.
The Club that has seen turbulent times when it was based in Trawden Colne, is certainly flying high now and we wish them the best of luck for the future.
